Floppy drive

when i take my floppy from school which is running xp and
bring it home and put it on my xp it tells me the disk is
not formated.
any ideas

May be some bad sectors on the floppy. Have you tried to format it, then add
information, then take it home?
Have you tried another floppy disk?
