Floppy Drive Read During Application Launch

Hi,

I have rescently installed Windows XP Pro and find that
each time I launch Internet Explorer, Outlook 2000, or any
other application the floppy drive is accessed. Where
should I look to resolve this issue?

Best way to solve this I have found is to disable your
floppy drive. There is very little use nowadays for
floppies, apart from boot disks, or certain install tools.

Go into System Information > Hardware > Floppy Drives
choose Disable from menu
