Floppy Drive Question

I have a laptop that only came with a CD/DVD media drive - no floppy drive

However, the BIOS menu on the laptop does list a Floppy Disk Drive in its
boot menu

The laptop Device Manager does not list any Floppy Disk Controllers like my
desktop does

Does this mean that a Floppy Disk drive is not supported by the motherboard
and thus no way way to boot from a floppy disk drive

I can go out and get a USB supported Floppy Disk Drive but the BIOS does not
have USB in its boot menu - so again I assume that there is no way to boot
from a Floppy Disk Drive using a USB connection ???

The CD/DVD media drive is removable - I assume that you can't use the CD/DVD
media connector on the motherboard to connect a Floopy Disk Drive ??

Thank you in advance for your replys

I believe you would only be able to boot from a USB device if your bios
supported this.
Perhaps your Laptop manu. has a slot in floppy to replace cd/dvd

Which means you have a removable cdrom drive that can be swapped with a
floppy drive.

It may be disabled in the bios.
