Check device manager and see if any problems are listed for
the floppy drive AND the controller.
Remove then drive and controller and reboot.
PnP should re-detect and re-install.
| You can try various things:

| a). Check that the floppy drive connections are ok.
| b). Reverse the connector.
| c). Try the drive after taking it out of the usual place
in the casing.
| d). If the drive is defective, get a new one.
