Hello,

Maybe the floppy's dead? I had the same message with an
old floppy drive, and it turned out I needed a new one.
They're pretty cheap if you shop around on the Internet,
or even go to stores such as Circuit City.

Hi,

Also make sure that the floppy drive is enabled in the
mobo BIOS settings.

I have been having the same problems with my floppy drive, as well as my DVD, CD, and all of my photo card drives. I get that, "A:\ Is not accessible. Incorrect function." Sometimes, when I restart or boot my system, the drive(s) will inexplicably come to life for a short time, but the last couple of days, I've been going crazy trying to download an Excel worksheet I loaded onto a floppy drive from my XP system at work. I've had this system since March, 2003, and have had intermittent problems with the drives for about 4 months now. I have suspected that it had something to do with the XP updates, but I can't prove anything.
