Floppy drive code 41

Hi- I have read all the microsoft issues and saw one on microsofts sit
and here similiar to a problem my girlfriend is having on her computer
All at once both the internal and usb connected floppy drives ar
getting
"Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware bu
cannot find the hard device. (Code 41)"

I see where they have fixed the cdrom drive and we actually followe
those directions "just in case" it brought back the floppy (yes I kne
it would not really work but at times you have to go with the flow wit
some folks"
We have deleted the device - made sure the registry was cleaned out an
reboot. Microsoft finds the new hardware(s) but then keeps giving u
this error message.

Any help anyone can give me is gratefully appreciated before m
girlfriend makes us all insane or we insist she pays the 100 bucks a
hour for someone else to either fix or not fix her computer. If sh
could do without the floppy drive I would tell her to forget it - bu
she has a computerized embroidery machine that uses the floppies t
transfer the design from her computer to the sewing machine.
