floppy disc error

Help!
I have written a project and saved it to a 3 1/2 floppy
disc now when i insert disc it is telling me something
about not being formatted for windows and is a macintosh
format. The disc has never been used on mac. computer
did crash last time i had disc in. have big college
project due tues and if not done i don't graduate. can
someone help me recover the information. if not is there
a way i can recover from word 2002 i did not save it there
but that is were i last used it.

Can't help with the floppy....

BUT, if you're lucky, there may still be a temp file created by word the
last time you had that document open still hangin around on your machine.

DO a file search on *.doc.... look for a funky file name with a date about
the last date you remember opening it.

I've gotten lucky that way a few times.

How did you get to the almost-graduating-from-college stage without learning
that you should NEVER! save to or open from a floppy?

Floppies are for storing and transporting files.

Save to your HDD first then copy to the floppy. When you want to work with
the file(s) copy back to HDD and open from there.

Your file on floppy is most likely junk and I doubt if you can find a copy on
your HDD if you did not save it there.
