Floating Bar Gantt Chart

I'm trying to develop a chart in my ppt that will display projects across
fiscal years. What I would specifically like is something like the
illustration below with the bars for each project placed based on start
date, end date, and duration.

----------------------
! Project 1 Title ! ---- a bar for project 1
----------------------
--------------------------
! Project 2 Title ! --- a bar for project 2
--------------------------
-------------------------
! Project 3 ! ---- etc.
-------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------
Jan 2007 July 2007 Jan 2008 Jun 2008

I've created my cells in the datasheet that have start date, end date, and
duration across the columns, and the project titles in the rows, but I can't
get the bars to display properly, based on the minimum, maximum, major unit,
minor unit on the y bar.

Can this be done? And if so, how do I set it up?

Thanks

Steve

Working with a powerpoint 2000 chart, I can't seem to get it to work. I
have 4 columns in my table. A is tasks, B is start, c is end, and d is
duration. Tasks are displayed by row - each with a start date, end date,
and duration. When I display this in the chart, I get three bars, one for
start, one for end, and one for duration. Not sure what I need to do
different in the setup.

Double click the EndDate column, this is not required as the stacking of
start and duration will/should give you the end date position.

Hi,

I think you only need 2 sets of data. Start date and duration. The end
date is in effect calculated by the chart.

Although this article is aimed at Excel the techniques use apply to
MSGraph.
