flickering in Word 2003

I upgraded to Word 2003 from Word in Office 97. When I type, I get a
flickering like an electrical static at the margins and motion waves at the
upper header. None of this happened with Word 97. Has anyone experienced
this?

I experience this in one or two specific documents, primarily in Print
Layout view (I normally work in Normal view). I suspect it indicates that my
video driver is not up to the load Word puts on it.

Sounds like Suzanne may be on the mark with the video driver issue. To
test this theory, you can tune down the hardware accelerator to put
less of a drain on the video driver. If this helps...then it's time to
upgrade your driver.
