Flexible queries with drop down boxes

Hello guys,

I'm quite new to the MS Access. I would like to know how to handle the
following issue:

My MS Access database contains 4 tables linked to an external database.
In this database i have several fields describing, among others, countries,
dates of records as well as amounts involved.
I have also several queries that extract, for the time being, ALL THE DATA
from these tables.

What I would like to do is to create a flexible query that will ask me (with
the drop down menu) :

- what is the time range that interest me (starting/ending dates) - maybe it
would be even better to create a special table that will define the periods
(f. ex. accounting January will be from January 2, 2005 to February 5, 2005
and so on...) and then I will only have to choose the month's name from the
drop down list?
- which country (or group of countries) I want to analyse?
- from which table?

.... and then will give me the relevant information (i. e. quantity of
records and sum of the amounts)

Suppose it should be an easy task for you, experts...
If you could help me on this, I would be more than grateful.

Thanks in advance,
Mark
