I am having trouble with damaged activex files. Whenever I download a flash
player (Ex: Adobe or macramedia), it does allow me to see what I wanted on
the website, however, every time the file gets damaged. What is causing this?
I am running windows XP home edition and IE7.

Use Adobe's uninstall program for Flash and then install the latest version.
You have to use their uninstall first.

Did you use the Adobe uninstaller?

Yes, I have used their uninstall program. I've restarted my browser and my
computer afterwards also. Still says activex file is damaged. Thank you so
much for your help. I'm thinking even though my warranty is expired I may
have to take computer to a dealer. What do you think?

Answer in newsgroup. Don't expect an answer to email.

I have tried for months to fix the same problem and haven't yet. But do look in Adobe Forums and see the many, many with the same unsolved problem. There are some suggestions that might help you; in the meantime, I am uninstalling/reinstalling again. Please post again if you find the solution.
