flash player error

getting constant crashing. error reports state flash
player is fault. Tried numerous ideas from macromedia to
no avail.error module name is always flash.ocx. Found
several damaged java file and repaired. Found (under IE
tool, options,setting,objects) a activeX component that is
unassigned with no apparent files. (33564D57-0000-0010-
8000-00AA00389B71). Can this be repaired with out fully
reinstalling XP again? I may have damaged it by using
spybot search and destroy. Thanks

Hi,

Did you try a reinstall of the Flash player? If you have an old version, you
surely can havev problems with newer SWF files.

Thanks for reply. Yes I have done a couple of uninstalls
and reinstall using help from macromedia. Doesn't seem to
help. What is weird is that it sometimes won't happen for
a day or so at the same sites, then it will happen every
10 minutes or so. Could it possibly be a problem with a
bad file in IE?Is it feasible to uninstall and reinstall
IE using another browser?
