Flash drive produces message

When I stuck my flash drive into the slot this morning up popped a
message that this USB devise could work faster if I plugged it into
another USB port. Whats that all about? I have plugged it in many
times in the past but have never seen this message before.

the flashdrive must be usb2 compatible, but you only have usb 1.1 in the pc,
thats why you are getting the message, i have just installed a 4 port usb 2
card in my pc and now its so much quicker when transferring stuff to my flash
drive and mp3 player, not sure why you have only just seen this message
though, is it a new falsh drive??? ;-) pete

I have been using USB2 for several years now. No other USB2 plug in's
have ever produced this message.
