Flagged reminders in outlook mail don't work

I have a user in my company who is unable to receive reminders on flagged
emails. Everything is in the default inbox, he doesn't set up personal
folders. He can change the flag color, it requests a time for the reminder,
but no reminder pops up. All other calendar and task reminders work fine.
Any ideas?
 
It's been a while since you posted this, but I am wondering the same thing.
It looks as if the reminder doesn't pop up a window (as it does for calendar
appointments). From what I can tell, what happens is that the color of the
item in the Follow Up file turns red when the reminder time has passed. That
doesn't seem right ... I would love to hear from the Outlook MVPs what the
deal is.
