Totally disabled, no funds for extra software, but suspect that Registry has
errors. No free fixes on Shareware, only scans that say 100+ errors and
problems. Computer operates OK, but takes too long to laod on startup and
opening programs. Any free fixes available?

Many reasons why your computer may have slowed down - see

I wouldn't mess with the registry.

Of course the scan says you have errors. Just like the car mechanic says you
need a complete overhaul. "Computer operates OK" so why do you think it
needs fixing? Stay away from registry fixers and cleaners - they cause more
trouble than good.
