Fixing error with icons in MS Excel

When I click on the icons on the toolbar, I receive and error indicating
Excel could not find "DOCSXL2003.xla". Only way to "open", "save", "print
preview", etc. a file is to use the menu drop-downs.

Cannot find the above file or any information about why this started
occurring recently. Previously the toolbar worked.

Appears as if the .xla is missing but cannot find what app installs or where
it would be located etc.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks for the suggestion, but interestingly enough, someone else happened
to hear about the problem and the fix is not what I would have expected:
Here it is for anyone else who may have this problem
1. Go to Excel, View, Toolbars.
2. Uncheck all tool bars currently in use (viewed).
3. Click ok
4. Shutdown Excel.
5. Re-open Excel, go to View, Toolbars.
6. Select Customize and check the Standard toolbar.
7. Click Reset.
8. Click OK to reset (some message appears).
9. Viola' all complete and works fine.
