Firmware version is still shown "same" after successful update?

I'm a Philips consumer but i'm now disappointed due to this:

First of all, i researched every part of your site and found my CD-RW
drive's firmware update at "http://www.storageupdates.philips.com/en/
cdrw.html" to update my drive's firmware from P1.3 to P1.5 as
displayed and instructed.

So, i read all of "how-to" and "faq" documents carefully then did as
exactly what steps are instructed. But after flashing successfully, my
drive's firmware is STILL displayed as P1.3 which means old firmware,
but i upgraded to P1.5 two times with NO failure but the shown version
is P1.3!!!

What will i belive in? Is it updated to P1.5 or did not? I'm not keen
on buying Philips optical drives anymore after that stupid and minor
fault of firmware engineers.

Please help how to determine to uptade the latest firmware version
(P1.5 it seems but did Not)

Note: Philips intelligent agent found an update which is NOT related
to my drive completely, i wasn't careful, i could damage my drive,
that's the second disappoinment of Philips.

Regards.

I have the impression that you do not know where you are here.
This is not a Philips customer support forum.

Hello, Arno:

I still think he's right, about Philips, alas. The company's quality
control has long seemed to be somewhat shaky, especially where its
optical drives have been concerned.

Cordially,
