Firewall

I'm using XP Pro, I can't turn the Firewall on or off and I am logged in as
administrator, it's greyed out. I noticed this on this particular laptop when
the AV wouldn't update.
Seems that I am either missing something or I have some type of problem.

Any ideas? Thanks

hi try this out... i think it will work..
1.Click Start, Run and type Regedit.exe
2.Navigate to the following locations:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Policies \ Microsoft \ WindowsFirewall

-and-

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Policies \ Microsoft \ WindowsFirewall

3.Backup and then delete the WindowsFirewall key.
4.Close Regedit.exe and restart Windows
it will put back new policy settings for the firewall
