hi all,
for some reason i cant put up the firewall in windows xp.
every time i check the box and click ok
i get the following message.

{the dependency service or group failed to start}.
any clues to this message.thanks in advance.

Dave

Go to "Start -> Run" and type services.msc at the command line. Navigate to the firewall service, on
my XP SP2 box its called "Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)" and double-click. Go
to the "Dependencies" tab. The top box lists services that may not have started. Go to each one and
manually start or configure for automatic start...
