Hi All,
Whilst my question here relates to Zone Alarm specifically, I believe it
relates
more widely to firewall settings and hence could be of assistance to all
those
who are trying to protect their small home networks.
I have a router (addressed 192.168.0.1) bringing internet in to a workgroup
of
XP PC's that have access to the address range (192.168.0.2 - 192.168.0.10).
For the PC at address (192.168.0.2), it shows this address in the 'Internet'
Zone
in Zone Alarms Firewall Zones list.
I have added the range (192.168.0.1 - 192.168.0.10) to the 'trusted' zone.
I'm now not sure that this is correct...
Surely the router (192.168.0.1) should be in the 'Internet Zone' and all
client
devices (192.168.0.2 - 192.168.0.10) should be in the 'Trusted' zone.
Your thoughts please.....
Thanks,
Neil
