Shannow..

Excuse my ignorance but does this Beta software disable
my Sp2 firewall....since installing your spyware thingy
it wont allow my firewall to be turned on....Is it
supposed to do this?

No it does not, there may be another program on your
computer that is shutting it down

Which is why you should not be using the built-in firewall. The very
fact that it can be modified programmatically without your consent makes
it a security risk. It is, however, better than nothing for people that
don't know what a firewall is.

Please do this to re-enable the firewall:

In Windows XP Service Pack 2, go to a command prompt and type:

netsh winsock reset

and hit enter, and restart the machine.

You may need to reinstall applications that add themselves to the Winsock
LSP.

I don't agree. I think the firewall works great, and because it gets
disabled from within (not from the outside) is another issue. I wouldn't
leave my "free" doors unlocked to my house just because they can be unlocked
from the inside, would you?
