FireFox extension: Web annotation and social bookmark

My friends and I are developing a website and a firefox extension.

Annotate
Add and share highlights / sticky notes on any text area of a webpage,
just like you'd on paper - great for personal notes or group
discussions.

Bookmark
Access from anywhere, organize with tags, and full-text search on
everything to find what you need in an instant.

Share
Share your favorite contents and viewpoints with others, or keep them
private. The choice is yours.

Discover
Leverage the community's collective efforts and discover hot sites and
high-quality contents found by others. Create watch lists of your
interests.

This sounds a bit like reinventing the wheel. What will your service
do that services like del.icio.us, Furl, ... don't?

Actually, the social bookmark part is like del.icio.u Furl, but the the
"Web Annotation" part is NOT. For example
1. You can highlight paragraphs just like you do on a paper. The
highlighted paragraph will be saved on the server at the same time.
If you revisit that web page, you can still see the highlights.

2. You can add sticky notes to your "highlighted paragraph", and Keep
your annotations private or share with others. If you share
annotations with others, anyone who visit that webpage can see your
annotations. -----------Really not like del.icio.us's description.

3. We use highlight and sticky notes user did to improve the full-text
search results. For instance, by giving the highlighted paragrahs more
points, we can get better search results and tips.

Sorry, I made you misunderstand it . Only people who install our
extension can see the highlights and sticky notes shared by others.
The data was uploaded to my server.
Even after users install our extension, they can still choose the
view mode to see the original web page, not the annotated web page,
because we fully understand the owner's rights. To insure it, I'd like
to give you an invite, so you can have a try.

Is there a program like this for private offline use?

No, they are different. With this extension, you can highlight
important paragraphs with a highlighter and put Sticky Notes on the
page, just as you would while reading a book
