Loads fine for me in FF 1.5.0.1.

What are we looking for?

First, the lack of a pic image file at the upper left. Secondly, FF
doesn't show the same page organization as Opera and IE. Third,
FF displays garbage in the rext region.

If nobody else is seeing the huge differences in the displays between
FF and the other browsers, maybe I'll uninstall and try 1.5.01 again
or maybe a RC version.

..5.0.1 is the current latest released version so I dunno what you're
talking about.

I asked because you had written (see above in your original post) FF
1.051. However your reply seems to indicate you had only made a typing
error.

I'm not the biggest fan of firefox but to be fair I'm certain CNN web
page was written with IE in mind. Yahoo! is another website that looks
better in IE.

The web page designers should get their butts kicked. FF has really
taken hold, and the clowns that don't keep up with the times should be
fired, as well as having their butts kicked :)

Art, 3/28/2006, 2:19:15 PM,

Use the "User Agent Switcher" extension for Firefox. It virtually
never fails. It can make a web page think you're using IE, Opera, or
Netscape, but without their vulnerabilities (because it's only faking
it).

FF & IE look just about the same for me. FF is showing an
image at the upper left. What it isn't showing is the Dell ad on the
right.:)

I am using a trunk build, Firefox 1.6a1, and cnn.com page looks fine.

They look the same for me with both IE and FF 1.5X. You may need to
flush your cache. The site has a newer look than it did a few days ago.

I use no h.d. cache with broadband. It's really puzzling since I still
see the same garbage after reinstalling FF. A old version of
Moz displays the page perfectly.

CNN has many advertisements. I use AdBlock in FF and Proximatron in IE.
I viewed the page with all 3 browsers and they looked nearly the same.
There were blank areas where the advertisements were removed in all 3
browsers.
