Finishing new build - Unsure of correct connection of mobo wires to modular power supply

Hi,

I am using a Seasonic 650 watts modular power supply and need to
correctly connect it to an Asus p6x58 D (premium) mobo.

Mobo connection was a no brainer, however, the other end has two
connectors for the psu. One is 16 pins, the other is 10 pins.

see

Probably a dumb question, but is this an either/or choice, or should I
use both connectors at the psu end. (My guess is use both) This is my
first time using modular cabling.

Thanks for any assistance.

You have 24 pin connector to the motherboard? The other end of
that connector is split into two parts, one 16 pin and one 10 pin?
Since the power supply labels those two ports "M/B" for
"motherboard" with no other MB ports, yes you would want to
carefully insert them the right way. If/since the power supply is
for i7 motherboards, I cannot imagine otherwise.
