Finding Year from 1st July

I need to enter the "StartYear" for a calendar that starts on 1st July
and ends on 30th June.

For example an entry for 1st July 2005 should produce "2005"

and

an entry for 30th June 2005 should produce "2004"

I have already had the advice months ago. It is in use in one of the
many databases that I run and I can't find it. I have recalled all of
the archived messages in this group but can only get back to January
2005.
