I used to have Outlook on an old computer of mine. Well, I became crunched
for space (...yes...it's that old...) so, without thinking I uninstalled
Microsoft Office since I wasn't using the computer much anymore except for
file migration to my new computer. Is there anyway in which I can recover
the e-mails which I had downloaded previously on my old computer so I can
move them to my new computer if I get Office on it?

No expert I, but if I understand your situation correctly...

You are in good shape.

Your emails are stored in a "PST" file.

Removing Office will leave that file untouched.

Search for *.PST and though you may have more than one such
file, you should be able to figure out which was the one in
use. Then, just transfer that file to your new system.

Finally, you will have to tell Outlook to point to that PST
file.

HTH,
