Thought some of you may be interested in this. I was browsing my Windows XP disk and found
some tools on the disk, one of which is a program that finds duplicate files. I have seen
posts from some who had duplicate music files in different folders and wanted to be able
to delete dups. This might be of use. It is located on your XP Disk at SUPPORT\TOOLS.
Click the setup file and then choose Complete. After installing, type dupfinder in the Run
box and hit enter. Use caution when deleting!

Here's some more info on dupfinder.exe and Windows Support Tools.

dupfinder compares files by CRC which is not unique and no
removal/archival options provides. NoClone compares files byte by byte
so dupes are exactly the same in content. Smart marker is time-saving
feature to mark files for removal/archival by date, size etc
