Hi,

"Advanced Find" in Outlook 2003 lets find messages only one month old.

How can I find messages:

a) received two months ago?

b) received last year?

Thanks

Santistas

Use the Advanced tab to create the search. Either enter the date range or
enter the date as '2 months' or 'last year'.

Thanks Diane,

Your suggestion worked with the condition "On or before" and value <last
year>, but not with the value <two months>, <2 months> or <two years>. In
these cases OE2003 returns all messages, also newer than that value.
Curiously, the same occurs (*) if I set the condition "On or before" with
the value <one year>, which should give the same results as <last year>.

Any help?

(*) = OE2003 returns all messages, independent of the sent date

Try

Received on or before 2 months ago

Looks like 'ago' is the key- I repro your results of all messages in Ol2003
with just '2 months'.
I can't test '2 years ago' - I only keep the last year in my mailbox. <g>
But as long as you use 'ago' in the value, it should work.

Sorry, Diane,

Including the word <ago> didn't help.
OE2003 returns all messages with the condition "on or before" and all
values I try:
<2 months ago>, <two months ago> or <two years ago>.

Any further suggestion?

BTW:
You do can test the value '2 years ago':
you will receive all messages, despite their date. <g>

Sorry again,

I used the same conditions as you, but the date filter doesn't work.
It returns messages newer than specified. Please see:
