Find function

Is it possible to ignore certin digits in a number when using the find function

eg I have a list of 8 digit numbers and want to find amounts with the same 3 & 4 digit

If you mean using the Edit > Find menu option, then enter ??12???? as the
item to find, replacing 12 with the digits you are looking for, and tick the
'Find entire cells only' box.
