Help! I've got users who look up and print forms from a db I built some time
ago.
Users pull up records by a specific part number and print the form. This
form contains all necessary information for setting their machine up
properly. The only use for this DB is so they can look up and print the
records as needed.
I initially taught users how to use "Find" to locate a particular part
number so
they can simply look up the info they need or print the form.
Sometimes if a user is past a specific part number and then try to "Find"
that part number, Access will not always locate it. WHY?? It almost seems
to look from the part number you were last on, to the end of the records, but
not the records before the one you were on.
I don't use the "Find" function - I just build the databases. Is there an
answer for this or a remedy? Must the user always be on the first record
before using "Find".
I've thought of just creating a switchboard kind of thing where the user
only enters the part number, period. Some of the experienced operators do
like to use the datasheet view though.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
