Find Fast scanning

I have a Windows XP Pro computer that every so often, Find
Fast is lauching in the background. It is scanning
through files and is scanning fast enough that I am unable
to see what it is. When this happens a icon pops up on
the task bar that looks like binoculars with a lighting
bolt above them. Is there anyway to stop this from
happenning or is this a possible virus?
