Gord Dibben and Dave Peterson you guys know what your doing!

I have been toying around with find.
They work good to find a sheet in a work book but they close when you do
work in that spread sheet. Is there a way to keep the finder open all the
time or to put it in the tool bar open , or to stay off to the side of the
spread sheet so it is more easily accesed. I work with a lot of computer
challenged people and try to make things easier for them . By doing this I
can get them to do more produtive work . The quicker they can get around the
computer , the more they learn computers are a great thing. It makes them
want to use the computer instead of a stone and chisel..

Nice program add in for the automated sheets (( what are you nuts!!)) Got a
laugh out of that when I saw it in the macro . Had to try it :)

Thanks guys

I'm not sure what you're writing about.

Do you mean the Edit|Find dialog?

If yes...

What version of excel are you using?

In xl2002 (IIRC), the Edit|Find dialog became modeless--that means you can click
on the worksheet and do stuff. In xl2k and below, you had to dismiss the
Edit|Find dialog to work on the sheet.

If you're using xl97, I don't know of a fix.

But if you're using xl2k, you can use Jan Karel Pieterse's FlexFind:

Jan Karel's program will work in any version of excel, but in xl97, it's still
modal (needs to be dismissed before working on the sheet).

If no, then maybe you can be more specific
