find and replace

I have a table with 1,200 rows. Each row of the table already has a
sentence similar to Smith v. Jones Exhibit #__. Is it possible to place a
sequence field in the replace dialog box?

Or

What's the fastest way to accomplish this?

Create your seq field and copy it to the clipboard. In the replace dialog
box enter ^c
Replace all, then update fields.
