find and replace symbols?

in an existing document I want to go through and change all the "1/4" true
fractions with 1/4 full scale text. I cannot figure out how to get the
fraction in the 'find' box. Please help me out, I've been trying to figure
out another thing, is there a feature that will allow you to cut text out of
your document, do a find and replace and paste the text that you selected
into the "find" box?

If you select the 1/4 fraction in your document and press CTRL+H the
Find/Replace Dialog Box will appear and you can type "1/4" in the "Replace
With" box and click "Replace All". That ought to do it.

The above also answers the second part of your question. (highlight what you
are searching for and press CTRL+F (to find) or CTRL+H (to replace)).
