Find and Replace function

I want to be able to subscript the number in a molecular
name, e.g. H2O without subscripting the "H" and the "O" as
well. In the "FIND" box I type H20 and in the "REPLACE"
box I type H2(subscript)0 and everything will change to
subscript---I only want the "2" to be subscripted. Please
tell me how to do this.

Ann,

Type H2O in the proper format (with the 2 subscripted) someplace in your
document. Next select and copy it. In the find box type H2O. In the
replace box type ^c (this represents the contents of the clipboard).

E-mail for additional help, within reason, if you like. I may not
always solve your problem, but no charge if I do. To e-mail, first edit
out the "w...spam" in the displayed address.
