find a record using an index and update or edit fields in the reco

I want a simple way to access a record in a database using an index key and
then be able to change a fields content.
I am a new user to access and cannot find a simple way to do this

On my website below, I have an A97 and/or A2003 sample file called Quick Find Combo.
It shows how to use a combobox to locate a record by a primary key field.
