Filtering out duplicates

Hi,

I have a query with the following results:

Name Treatment Address City State Zip
Joe Facial 123 Main St New York NY 01303
Joe Massage 123 Main St New York NY 01303
Jill Facial 234 Center St Boston MA 02222
Jane Facial 456 Oak Ave Cleveland OH 44007
Jane Reflexology 456 Oak Ave Cleveland OH 44007

We want to send out a letter monthly using an Access
Report to our customers thanking them for their service
and to offer them a coupon. We only want to send one
letter to them though. The letter says Thank you for
coming to our spa and having a Facial (or massage). I
cant do a select distinct because it would not filter out
anything listed above. However, I only want Joe and Jane
to receive one letter and need the treatment field for my
letter. Is there a way only send one letter? Perhaps
the first treatment that they had that month would appear
on the letter and all other letters would be suppressed.

Thanks,

Chuck

Move the customer name (and address) to the page header
but keep the treatments in the report detail.

Group the report by the Customer with a Customer footer
and put a PageBreak in the footer.

This should give you one page per customer, with all of
their treatments listed.

Hope this helps!
