How do you apply the automatic filter to one cell?

A tiny trick:

If you click on a single header cell and apply AutoFilter, it will be
applied to all the header cells, but if you click on the column and apply
AutoFilter, it will be applied to only the single cell.

Do you mean you want to apply data|filter|autofilter to a single column?

If yes, then select the column in your range and then apply the filter.
