Filter results returning a count __ of __

I remember there being a result in the bottom left hand corner of the Excel
Window when using the Auto Filter feature in Office 2000. This would return a
## of ## when you filtered on an item in a database.

Now the only thing I am seeing is "Filter Mode" in the bottom left-hand
corner.

Any thoughts/solutions to this?
