filter dataset question

I have a win form that has a grid and i'm populating the grid from a dataset,
On the grid the user can select cells and then that should populate some text
boxes with details about the selected item. Right now I'm making another call
to the database to filter the selection. How can I create a dataset and just
fitler the dataset based on the user selection without making another trip to
the database?

take a look at dataview object
and use dataview.rowfilter

I would not do what you ask (the answer is simple to give by me eiter by
relations or the dataview).

What you are now doing is in my opinion one of the best ways especially when
you are in a multiuser environment. However when it is on a PDA, than it
becomes something different.
