Filter a text box with command buttons

How do I invoke "Filter by Form", "Apply Filter" and "Remove Filter" on a
specific text box, using command buttons invoking subs from the form itself,
rather than using the icons in the Form View taskbar?

You can shift to Filter By Form with:
RunCommand acCmdFilterByForm

However, it's a one-way street. None of the command buttons--in fact, none
of the events--work in Filter By Form, so you cannot get a command button to
take you back to Form view again.

The Toobar buttons are therefore the easiest solution.
