Filling in blanks in a Word Document

I have a document in Word that has blanks that need information to be filled
in. How do I do this without having the rest of the document wrap?

What you are talking about is what Word calls an "online form." For more

Basic idea is to put your fields in a fixed-size container such as a table
cell or a frame.
