fill color not displaying in preview or print

I have a datafiltered spreadsheet with 2 columns that have a fill color
applied - yet when i print the spreadsheet the 2 colored columns STILL print
in b&w w/o the fill color ... In fact, the ONLY way I can see the fill color
is in print layout view ... why can't i see the fill color in print preview
AND, more importantly, why doesn't the fill color show up on my print?

Hi RJ
Have you checked your printer settings. Make sure your printer is set to
colour.
They sometimes default to B&W.

And the obvious question, is it a colour printer.

Yes - however this is a worksheet that's on a network shared drive - moreover
you can only see the fill color in page layout, but not in print preview ...
and someone else can view and print the worksheet with the color just not me
.... is there a preference (in sharing) that might need to be
checked/unchecked?

OP's problem is the other way round.

Can see the colors on the sheet but not in Preview or when printed.

Check your Page SetUp>Sheet settings.

Uncheck Black and White and Draft Quality.

Exactly Gord - I suspect this is a sharing issue .... everything about the
document says color allowed, so it has nothing to do with viewing colors ....
I suspect it's a sharing preference that has somehow disallowed me from
viewing or printing the document fully (with highlight/fill color
displayed/printed).
