Is there any way in Vista's Window's Mail Contact listing to get it to
sort/file/list the contacts last name first. IOWs "Smith, John" instead
of "John Smith" ??
Right Click on the column headings at the top of the right hand pane.
Select Last name and/or first name. They are separate columns. You
may have to select more.. at the bottom of the list to see those
options.
Unfortunately, if you enter a letter on the keyboard it will still go
to an entry that begins with that letter in the name field, even if
you are sorting by last name.
Also, when I imported my 1000+ contacts from OE, Windows contacts did
not pick up all the first and last names. For those it does not
display (even though they are present), I need to open the contact and
then click OK. Then the names appear.
