how do you clean up your pc as in files that have
accumulated, without interrupting the performance of the
pc. I have accumulated 30,000 some files which I assume
I do not need?? Thank-you for your support
 
A good place to start is XP's built-in Disk Cleanup Wizard. Look for it in
Start>All Programs>Accessories>Disk Cleanup.
