files wont open

hi all i hope someone can help.....when i go to open an exel file i ge
a message saying......

cannot find the file c:\my documents\store income.xls'(or one of it
components).makesure the path and file name are correct and that al
required libraries are available.

this has just happened ive tried to reinstall but still no goo
...files will open if i drag and drop into exel...
