Files Won't Install

When I run programs to install, I get a message that says the program can
not install because it's not premited to gain acess to the C drive. I need
to be the Administrastor. I need the rights. I am the administrastor and
only have my name in the user
accounts. I may have set something to privacy when I re-installed XP Home.
How can I fix this problem?
