'Files waiting to be written to CD' message

Is there a way to remove or reset the message stating that I have 'files
waiting to be written to the CD' Every time I turn on my laptop or insert a
new CD into the drive. This started, I believe with a Windows update or the
update to VS. 3

Open My computer by double clicking it, right click on your CD/DVD ROM and
select Erase these files.

While there. Right click C:\ and select properties, under General tab click
on disk Cleanup and then reboot your machine.

A post is generally permitted to contain a link to a commercial site as part
of the signature line provided that it is only a line or two. AFAICT, the
post was within those bounds. What is not generally acceptable is a post
whose sole content is of a commercial nature.
