Need a little help here!

In my menu: "Files", "Edit", "Show", "Insert" etc...... I am now missing
"Files" for some reason.

WHich means I'm not able to save or open previous documents.

I've tried to get it back, but nothing have worked so far.

Please help!! How do I get my "Files" back???????

Deleting the Data key in the registry should work; it restores the
defaults. But note that, as I wrote in my previous reply, adding the
File menu back via Tools | Customize will be a less drastic approach.

Hi.

I have tried to get the File menu back via tools | Costumize. But that wont
work (or at least when I try it wont work!

Also the deleting/renaming of the datakey doesn't seem to work.

I tried renaming it. Afterwards when I open Word, the File menu still is not
there.

If I do the: "winword.exe /a" from my "Run" box, Word opens up just fine.
But I would like it to work when I use my shortcut on the desktop!

Any suggestions?? Do I have to do something special when I delete the
datakey??
- Restart the computer or something?!?

In RegEdit I can see I have the following Addins: GoogleDesktop.OfficeAddin,
SnagItOfficeAddin.Connect, WebPage.Connect, WordEEFonts.Connect.

I'm pretty lost right now. I don't have my "Files" menu or my "Tools" menu.

I tried deleting "Toolbars" in the "Data" area in Word. After that I
restarted my computer. That didn't change anything. When I open Word, "Files"
and "Tools" are still missing in my menu.

What to do?? Re-Install??????

Are there any add-ins in the startup folder? Have you tried moving them
out of that folder? Are there entries in Add and Remove Programs (in
Control Panel)?

Note that reinstalling is unlikely to help.

If you can't get this to work, you may want to repost your question,
stating what you've tried so far. Make sure to mention the version of
Word that you are using.
