Files/folders can't be shared

Every time I try to share files on my network (wireless), I get the error
message "The RPC server is unavailable." As far as I know, I have all the
settings right but it still won't work. I've searched online but all I seem
to find is stuff related to other versions of Windows and some of the
solutions are apparently impossible with Vista Ultimate.
Any suggestions?

I have tried that quite a few times. The error message comes up when I'm
trying to turn on public file sharing.
